OPEN NRITYA – A meeting point and sharing space for dance

Open Nritya is part of Stockholm Sangeet Festival and a performance platform where dancers and choreographers can showcase their work to an audience in a supportive and inclusive environment. The purpose is mainly to encourage creativity, to create opportunities for networking and new collaborations as well as to provide performance experience and artistic growth. Food and drink is available at Stallet during the evening.

Do you want to showcase your performance skills or try a new piece of choreography in front of an audience?

We welcome applications to participate from all dancers and choreographers well experienced in classical or/and contemporary Indian dance. Minimum age is 15 years.

Participation in Open Nritya is free of charge and no remuneration is provided. A simple set up with light and sound and a technician is provided.

Please note that the dressing room area at Stallet is very limited so consider arriving dressed for stage or keeping your dance/stage costume and make up simple to avoid a crowded dressing room.

Submit your application to participate in Open Nritya latest by 1th September to ulrikalarsen@gmail.com. Maximum length of performance is 20 minutes including presentation and Q&A.
